Yes. Eimyr is free to download and use on any Mac of yours, for anything personal or work. No account, no subscription, no ads.
WebKit comes with macOS and is what Safari runs on, so Eimyr doesn't carry a second engine of its own. That makes it lighter on memory, all the more as tabs you haven't looked at for a while sleep. It's the engine Apple tunes for the Mac's battery, and it gets Apple's security fixes with every macOS update, and Eimyr itself is written natively in Swift and AppKit.
Sites that work in Safari work in Eimyr. A few sites only let Chrome in; Eimyr presents itself to those as Chrome, so they open as they should.
Protected video plays where the site supports WebKit's FairPlay, as it does for Safari. Sites that only use Chrome's Widevine won't play it.
